Saturday August 2-2008
Feeling great, the weather is simply beautiful in East Oakland, CA. Just came from a BBQ and it’s all good. Getting to the issue at hand…I am doing a in-depth interview in a couple of weeks with the great “EA-SKI” Now E is one of the producers who hail from the west coast and has been putting it down for a long time. Seriously check the man’s stat’s on his myspace. Just some of the production this Great Producer has been on, From Master P-Plat and double Plat Stats, Ice Cube-Plat and Gold, Spice 1-Plat, Naughty by Nature, TLC, SWV, TLC, Jayo Felony to name a few…You can visit his myspace.com/Easki check him out yourself. His partna in Production Crime? The quiet humble CMT. When I first met these brothers at Moses Music back in 04, I was extremely excited, Moses called me and told me to get down to the music store it was a function going on that I would enjoy. I was fresh in finding my direction in what I wanted to do in the music biz. Moses introduced us and it was magic. This brother is not only insightful, but he has a legacy and staying power. His studio rivals any mainstream studio you would ever want to visit. I don’t want to give everything away. But I am fielding questions, I have my agenda of questions and topics of discussion we will cover, but I ask some of you, what would you like me to ask him? He has great knowledge of the inside of business. If you are an artists what advice would you like to ask? Producer or Beatmaker? Maybe your question would be regarding equipment, software, working with artist. So hit me and let me know. This interview will be an exclusive to the Livefromthe215.com. Heavy promotions over other online sites will take place. It will be a video interview so if you submit a question or topic, and you want to be acknowledged for the question then please include a nickname or name so that during the interview I can say so-so wanted to know, also include your city or state any identifying info. Anyway I thought I would share with ya’ll a photo from today…
More to come…

Missing my loved ones, Reminiscing gone too soon…
Today July 2-9-2008
No pics today just some thoughts and reflections….
Today is my lil Cousin Bobby Hall’s Funeral. I have been up since 8 am this morning, actually I did not sleep maybe an hour. I thought about how I would react at the funeral. I have been going back and forth will I go? or will I stay home? I had everything prepared to go. I spoke with family they were expecting me, I couldn’t make it. Just couldn’t this shyt has put me in a state of depression that if I were to go, I would be in a deep depression. In a previous blog, I wrote about the shootout that happened 2 doors down from my house the first week of July, well one male and one female died as a result of that. My cousin was the 73rd murder of Oakland, and since that fateful night, there have been several more. I remember when we buried his big brother, the famous Plan B in 92, then in 00 his best friend/brother Mike “Dream” was murdered 1 day before my birthday, my grandmother died the day before. This is the last time I will blog about such, as I plan on co-writing a book with another cousin. I really wish I could have gone, the funeral was packed, no parking to be found, probably hundreds of people have gone. But not me. I simply just couldn’t. Couldn’t bring myself to go, and Lord knows I tried, I really did. I don’t understand this, don’t want to all I know is this, we as a people, the hip-hop community really need to re- evauluate what we do, how we think and how we live. WE ARE DYING! at a alarming rate, this is ABNORMAL! Where I live the value of life is so not important. YOU are SUPPOSED TO LIVE PAST 22, 25, 30,40,50. Hell people out here are 40 and 50 dying from gunshot wounds! This is not normal. I tell everybody I live in lil beirut, I’m sure some of you reading this feel the same way about where you live. I missed my cousin’s funeral today, simply because I want to remember how I saw him the last time we spoke. Not lying in a casket with the life gone, his essence, his future, his unspoken dreams. Naw, that’s ok, so today I am going to reflect and remember those whom I know and those who I don’t and figure out how can I honor their legacy and ensure they are never forgotten.
Today is my cousin’s day though, maybe I was selfish by not going, everyone assumed and knew I was coming, but I just couldn’t. I am going to hold on to the last day I saw him and the love we had, sad thing about it though, the last time I saw my lil cousin, was at somebody’s funeral in East Oakland, Damn.
Rest In Power lil cousin…You will never be forgotten…
Lil Bobby Hall

New Jersey’s Finest “Kese Soprano”

The “Abstract” Kese Soprano check out his new single “Yeah” myspace.com/kesesoprano
My American Boy…Jersey Style
You know when you read “Soprano” attached to anything these days, you think of the quality and the show “The Soprano’s”. With that said I want to be the first or one of the first to introduce to the mainstream “Kese Soprano“. He is the first of a series presented here of Elite 1 Entertainment’s Artist of the Month. This will grow into a annual yearly, voted on by the online community “Artist of the Year” in different categories. Let’s get with the man, the artists known as Kese Soprano. Not only a great artists, and one who can be recognized to bring the east back to prominence, but a humble person and one who is a hard worker. Kese is also a producer, beat maker and yes from New Jersey. Quite a balancing act and yet he does it and does it well. His lyrics and beats are what represents the best about what we all love about East Coast music, the beats and the lyrics fueled by “real life“. What makes a person a fan of the gone-by days of Wu-Tang (Cream), DMX?, Nas (Illmatic) and Biggie? Kese got it, has it and BRINGS IT. His myspace rotates and keeps the online community knowledgable of what he is currently working on and who he is working with. The network of artists and business he deals with is extensitve. He is the only artists I know that can boast of working with Lady Luck too Cash & Khaled to a serious presence on SOHH (before the hack) One of the few posters who could actually have his music on The Forum. He is busy and business orientated. Kese recently lost a close person to him and created a song that is his “Song Cry“. There is so much more I can say about “OUR ARTIST OF THE MONTH” KESE SOPRANO. I will let his myspace say it better for me. Look for in the upcoming months audio of live interviews of Kese and his process and how he views mainstream, underground and the future of New Jersey’s rap scene, the future of the East Coast and if they will ever have dominance again.
Looking for a “New Underground Artists” that you can ride too, listen too, sing along with, and who is speaking your language, the Youth’s language. Look no further than my man Kese Soprano.
Be Looking out for the new single produced by Cash & Khaled called “Yeah”
Check out his myspace/kesesoprano
We do stay d.o.i.n it Movin Mayne…The Elite 1 Network…T’Anne…The Elite 1-One…Holla
Tomorrow look for experts from my one on one interview today with the Great West Coast Producer “Easki”

2 commentsBobby Hall East Oakland Rapper Killed
Seems like lately my thoughts and experiences are filled with a lot of bad news. However my lil cousin was murdered Saturday night while visiting friends in East Oakland. Not just another Rapper but brother to Slain Graph Artist/Rapper - Plan B. One of the reasons I got into the entertainment business was to carry on Plan B’s and Mike “Dreams” legacy. I would have never thought in a million years, that Lil Bobby would become apart of that, but here I stand today, contemplating on his representation in my business. Life is soo way too short and we just never know when things and events will happen to change our direction, and our thoughts on the world that surrounds us. Funny thing is I have never feared my city, never been afraid to go anywhere at anytime, but here lately I am having second thoughts. Again I find myself speechless, again I find myself numb to the senseless violence that plagues my city and affects us all. Again I ask where are the Bill Cosby’s and others who criticize how the inner city lives and yet doesn’t make a known presence.
I dont have the answers, just tonight I am going to reflect on why? Why did he have to be him? Why are his parents having to bury their only two sons before the age of 30? Why does a person have to “be aspiring” and not “realizing”
Why can a person like “supposedly” Rick Ross claim drug dealings and sales, and my Lil Cousin was about positivity?
Why?
